About The Position

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. This position is required to rotate through all P82 positions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months experience in receiving related field preferred
  • Industrial truck driving experience preferred
  • Hi-lo certification required
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must maintain proper vision requirements
  • Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.
  • Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Generates and maintains an account of all materials, transfers and receipts throughout the plant using the MRP system.
  • Loads, unloads, and/or moves materials within or near plant, or work site.
  • Performs alphanumeric data entry operations as required to ship and receive all incoming and outgoing materials into the inventory system with real-time transactions.
  • Receives all small package shipments as required verifying incoming and outgoing material against packing slip/purchase order for accuracy.
  • Reports over/under shipments to supplier and supervisor for immediate resolution, using RDR format.
  • Using order pickers and tablets, follows all processes and work instructions for picking orders from the warehouse for delivery to production.
  • Using RF scan gun and order pickers or forklift, will put received components away in the high bay or bulk storage warehouse, as needed.
  • Obeys all vehicle laws while operating forklifts and order pickers.
  • Understands and follows all inventory control processes and procedures including 100% scanned movement into and out of all warehouse locations.
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves by hand, or forklift.
  • Conveys materials between designated areas and performs all inventory transactions between control points.
  • Verifies all labels and tags.
  • Participates in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Completes operator check sheets on all utilized equipment and keeps equipment clean.
  • Performs various housekeeping activities.
  • Understands responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.
  • Cooperates with OSHA MIOSHA inspectors.
  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Follows all safety rules.
  • Reports unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately.
  • Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc.
  • Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate.
  • Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves.
  • Provides an employee with written instructions of the measures and procedures required to protect the employee.
  • Advises the employee of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the employee of which the supervisor is aware.
  • Understands responsibility for visitors and general public health and safety in the workplace.
  • Cooperates with OSHA inspectors.
  • Does not allow discrimination against employees who properly exercise their right under OSHA.
  • Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set a good example.
  • Ensures that employees wear the appropriate protective devices.
  • Knows the safety rules at Magna – Greer.
  • Understands responsibility to the environmental programs, including ISO14001.
  • Understands the importance of conformance with all environmental procedures of the environmental management system, including emergency response.
  • Understands the EMS consequences, actual or potential, of their work activities and/or their behaviors from specified work instructions.
  • Communicates shortages/problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists receiving with raw in-process material that is to be moved to the warehouse or main floor.
  • Participates in all inventory checks.
  • Performs other duties as required.
