Receiver Shipper
About The Position
This role is responsible for locating and transporting materials to the shipping area, preparing and protecting loads for shipment, and performing transactions using computer and hand-held units. The Receiver Shipper will also unload trucks of incoming vendor materials, deliver them to the proper storage area, and report any damage to incoming goods. Verification of incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips is crucial. The position also involves obtaining materials from storage for shipment and production, assisting with other material handling tasks throughout the plant, and maintaining a clean work area. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role.

Responsibilities
- Locate and transport material to be shipped to the shipping area.
- Prepare and protect loads for shipment as required. Place labels on loads, weigh and record weight and load materials on trucks.
- Perform transactions using computer and hand held units to ship and receive materials.
- Unload trucks of incoming vendor materials and deliver to the proper storage area including tankers where applicable.
- Report/record any damage of incoming goods before removing from truck to management.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments are as noted on packing slip.
- Obtain materials from storage for both shipment and production, as required.
- Assist in other material handling throughout plant as needed.
- Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
