About The Position

The Shipper/Receiver ensures goods shipped and received are accurate and that orders are packed and processed correctly, promptly, and cost-effectively. The role follows safety procedures while handling raw materials and finished goods, preparing and documenting shipments, and supporting inventory and production needs.

Requirements

• No formal education required.
• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, and hear.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience driving a forklift and maintaining documentation.
• Familiarity with shipping software.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard work safely by following written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Pack, label, and stage items properly for shipment.
• Document and maintain accurate shipping records.
• Safely and accurately load outbound freight.
• Manually load and unload trailers and complete supporting documents, such as bills of lading.
• Identify and record product, process, and quality-system issues or non-conformities, and provide recommendations.
• Participate in inventory procedures and cycle counts.
• Cross-train on other production functions as business needs dictate.
• Clean and maintain the assigned area.
