About The Position
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for accurately processing inbound materials, managing inventory, and ensuring proper documentation. This role involves attention to detail, strong communication, and leadership skills to support the operations team.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years of related work experience in material receiving.
- Proven competency to follow material receiving procedures.
- Attention to details, communication skills and competency of basic math skills.
- Ability to multi-task and present new ideas.
- Must be able to work in a team and have leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Filing out receiving paperwork correctly.
- Filling out all labels accurately as needed.
- Labeling all inbound material (stock and special order).
- Assigning bin locations for all special ordered materials and listing them accurately on the receiving paperwork and pick ticket.
- Assigning team members to assist with receiving and cycle counting as needed.
- Helping with inventory control and reconciliation as needed.
- Helping to reconcile potential receiving errors as they occur.
- Serving as the primary lead for cycle counting.
- Verifying all customer returns for quantity and product accuracy, and assessing if the product is re-sellable.
- Applying labels and providing signed paperwork to the manager for customer returns.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned by the operations supervisor.
