About The Position

The Shipper/Receiver III is responsible for moving designated trailers between the trailer lot and assigned dock doors, and for supporting shipping and receiving operations with a forklift. The role includes inspecting and maintaining trailer and vehicle condition, keeping the parking and docking area clean, and tracking trailer inventory. A current Class A CDL, DOT physical, and drug screen are required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of driving experience, including backing into docks.
• Forklift experience.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Class A CDL license.
• Current DOT physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Spot designated trailers from the trailer lot to assigned dock doors or from dock doors to the trailer lot.
• Ensure all trailer wheels are chocked.
• Maintain a daily equipment condition report.
• Maintain a clean parking and docking area in accordance with standards.
• Maintain driver maintenance of the vehicle.
• Ensure trailers are in adequate operational condition.
• Maintain a valid CDL license.
• Track and audit trailer inventory.
• Operate a forklift to perform shipping and receiving tasks.
