About The Position

Conuvo Construction Materials, a division of the family-owned RMC Group of Companies, is seeking a Shipper/Receiver for its team in Port Coquitlam, BC. The RMC Group has been supplying concrete and related services since 1994, operating more than ten entities and valuing its employees. The Shipper/Receiver will be primarily responsible for the safe loading and unloading of concrete related products within the warehouse and yard, as well as tracking incoming/outgoing shipments and maintaining an organized and accurate inventory.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license & clean drivers abstract.
  • 2+ years of general warehouse experience.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to speak with customers and vendors in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Safety conscious mind-set.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, and lifting required.
  • Ability to lift weights of up to 50lbs on a frequent basis is required.
  • Successful candidates must complete pre-employment drug, alcohol, and fit for work testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
  • Forklift operating experience and previous forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move products and materials both hand and with a forklift.
  • Schedule all outbound shipments.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify shipment accuracy, complete Bill of Lading, take pictures of inbound/outbound loads.
  • Enter shipments into the inventory processing software.
  • Track inventory levels and notify management of discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge base of concrete materials and products.
  • Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and within scope.
  • General yard and warehouse housekeeping and maintenance duties as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Participate in safe working policies/procedures including wearing PPE, attending safety meetings, identifying/reporting hazards, completing incident reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
