About The Position

A Shift Supervisor is a key leader who supports the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, keeps operations running smoothly, and ensures completion of opening and closing procedures.

The role includes supervising and coordinating store crew activities, communicating with management and crew, assisting customers and handling customer-relations issues in accordance with company policy, and maintaining customer and patient confidentiality. The Shift Supervisor also prices and stocks merchandise, executes displays and signage for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise, maintains off-shelf merchandise, and resets departments according to planograms.

Requirements

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication and supervision skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a retail supervisor.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with store management and store crews.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS’s customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
• Handle customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
• Price merchandise and stock shelves.
• Execute displays, signage, and inventory of weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
• Execute the display and maintenance of off-shelf merchandise.
• Reset departments following planograms.
• Lead store staff and ensure smooth store operations when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite.
• Ensure completion of opening and closing procedures.
