About The Position

Printpack is seeking a Shift Supervisor for its Extrusion Department at the Villa Rica I facility. This is a night-shift position on a 3/2 schedule. The supervisor oversees department operations and personnel, working to achieve plant performance goals for safety, waste, quality, and productivity while meeting customer expectations and complying with regulatory policies and ISO 9001 Quality System procedures. The role also oversees initiatives including 5S, QCO, and AIB, controls operating costs, and makes quality-related decisions.

Requirements

• Production experience.
• Proven ability to effectively manage people and responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• For internal candidates: must have received a 'Performer' or better on the last performance review, have no active disciplinary action higher than a Verbal Warning, and have been in the current role for more than 120 days.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems.
• Strong technical skills in flexible packaging.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shift to achieve plant performance goals for safety, waste, quality, and productivity.
• Coach and provide feedback to associates, and conduct timely performance reviews.
• Ensure internal and external customer expectations are met and ISO 9001 Quality System procedures are followed.
• Oversee plant initiatives such as 5S, QCO, and AIB.
• Supervise shift personnel in a way that promotes fairness and high morale.
• Control operating costs.
• Perform job checkouts and make decisions regarding quality.
• Oversee the department on the night shift to ensure compliance with regulatory policies.
• Facilitate and lead a small team in achieving specific QCO goals.
