About The Position

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for loading rubber material into the extruder, setting up parts, cutting cured rubber to customer specifications, and winding the finished extruded material. The role also includes packaging finished products to specifications and performing quality inspections, including measuring sizes and checking for deformities.

The position is with The D.S. Brown Company, a Gibraltar Industries Company, which supplies engineered products to the bridge and highway industry. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Ability to organize and work through a list of priorities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read calipers and a tape measure.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Ability to manually push and pull material or product.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day.
• Ability to work in a dirty environment and under extreme temperature conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous tow motor or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize and work through a list of priorities.
