The Shift Supervisor for the Community Connections department is a semi-professional role focused on team-based management and supervision of staff and individuals in community-based settings, providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage in their scheduled daily activities. Supervised by a Program Supervisor, Director, or other professional staff, the Shift Supervisor is expected to exercise independent judgment and initiative while adhering to established policies and procedures. This role involves training and support for individuals in areas such as daily life skills, cooking, cleaning, hygiene, purchasing groceries, food preparation, medication administration, behavioral care, and community participation. Additionally, the Shift Supervisor will train and support staff by helping implement personal plans, maintaining records, and contributing to a therapeutic environment.
