About The Position

This position will supervise employees who operate and tend control stations and/or areas in an automated or semi-automated processing operation. Verifies specified processing and detects malfunctions through surveillance of control panel indicators, dials, and gauges. May initiate and communicate a variety of personnel actions; e.g., performance, scheduling and/or approving overtime. Generally, the subordinate group performs a single task or multiple, but closely related tasks. SFI supervisors will supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations for their assigned shift.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to safety
• Strong organizational skills and ability to plan priorities effectively
• Strong communication (spoken and written) skills for coordination, training and reporting
• Listening skills also required
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 – 8 years’ experience in related position preferred
• 3 years’ experience in direct supervision of people is preferred
• If you’ve been in your current position for less than 18 months, verbal supervisor approval is required.

• Managing the plant operations to ensure in spec final product quality
• Estimating personnel needs
• Assigning work
• Meeting completion dates
• Interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies

• Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
