About The Position

Unidine is hiring a part-time Shift Supervisor at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, Connecticut. The role directs associates’ activities during an assigned shift and oversees completion of job expectations while maintaining company policies and procedures. The position pays $21.00 to $23.00 per hour. Days and hours may vary, and evenings and weekends are included. Uniforms are provided. Previous computer skills experience is required.

The Shift Supervisor supports the culinary team and helps maintain unit quality, productivity, and safety. Responsibilities include training associates, creating work schedules, evaluating performance, preparing reports, and responding to employee complaints or time-off requests. The supervisor may also mentor employees and encourage their professional advancement.

Requirements

• Previous computer skills experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct associates’ activities during an assigned shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policies and procedures.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
• Serve as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
