About The Position

This role involves the frontline supervision of all assigned security functions and Public Safety staff, coordinating routine and emergency security activities. The supervisor enforces PHC regulations and applicable state and federal laws, advocates for crime prevention and a secure work environment, and is responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events. This position requires sound judgment in engaging with combative or escalating subjects and serves as the first responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. Additionally, the role includes supervising and developing junior officers.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • 4 years general security, military or other public safety experience required with two (2) years of experience in a related job where required to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty Required or an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor (IAHSS) within 1 Year Required
  • Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton Required
  • Carry company issued firearm Required
  • Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Required
  • Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed. Required

  • Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
