About The Position

The Shift Supervisor Level 1 position is responsible for providing prompt and excellent customer service, explaining wash options, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role also involves troubleshooting basic car wash equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and adhering to safety policies. The supervisor must be able to work with minimum direction and periodic supervision, demonstrating responsibility when the Site Manager is off-site. This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment with moderate to loud noise levels, requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months as CWA (Car Wash Attendant) before advancement.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Able to work weekends.
  • Able to demonstrate responsibility while Site Manager is off site.
  • Understands the functions of all chemical room equipment.
  • Must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service and some Car Wash experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner.
  • Greets customers, answers questions, and explains wash options.
  • Ensures customers are satisfied and reports any inquiries, incidents, and issues in a timely manner.
  • Satisfactorily completes all Car Wash Attendant job duties.
  • Troubleshoots basic XPT and DRB issues and follows “DRB Protocol”.
  • Reads “Supervisor Level DRB” training course.
  • Attends Preventative Maintenance Training and completes 5 Day Preventative Maintenance Reports.
  • Works on time and follows the dress and appearance code.
  • Performs Site Upkeep (Cleaning/Maintaining) for 30% of the time.
  • Handles Opening/Closing Procedures for 5% of the time.
  • Performs Basic Troubleshooting for 5% of the time.
  • Enforces all safety policies.
  • Understands the functions of all chemical room equipment.
  • Assists the Site Manager with tunnel and chemical room equipment repairs.
  • Cleans out solenoids.
