About The Position
The Shift Runner is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls, food management, staffing, paperwork, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The role requires setting an example for the crew and consistently following company policies and procedures while maintaining standards, attendance, punctuality, and customer service. Shift Runners also perform general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing orders, taking inventory, and cleaning the equipment and facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position may also involve delivering products and flyers or door hangers within a designated delivery area.
Requirements
- Managerial experience in a fast-food restaurant.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, direct activities, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, driving, and frequent hand use.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery locations while carrying products.
Responsibilities

- Operate equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory; complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Deliver products by car to customers and deliver flyers and door hangers, as required.
