About The Position

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia-Pacific company, is hiring a Shift Operations Supervisor for their Inline Department at the Paragould, AR facility. This role is responsible for hiring and developing hourly operations employees, managing their performance, and assisting in establishing a Principle-Based Management® culture. The supervisor will be accountable for developing capability and performance across their assigned shift team, managing approximately 60-70 employees. The position requires working a night shift operation (7pm-7am) on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Saturday.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience working with safety and environmental policies and processes
  • Experience with implementing and sustaining quality control systems
  • Experience facilitating 1 on 1 and group conversations
  • Able and willing to work a night shift schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) or more years of experience leading a team of direct reports within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, Leadership, or Business field
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing

  • Help each employee better understand and embrace the team/business vision, strategies, and priorities to make the greatest contribution.
  • Motivate each employee to make the maximum contribution to the team’s long-term success by realizing their potential.
  • Coordinate safety risk assessments for operational and physical hazards with operators, assisting them in developing and implementing solutions to reduce risks.
  • Focus on human performance of product system through defining, educating, coaching, and executing various disciplined operation processes/procedures.
  • Interface with process engineers, other operations leaders, and maintenance team members to identify and address employee and operational performance gaps.
  • Lead individual performance reviews, career development, and compensation discussions with team members.
  • Lead staffing and training plans for hourly team members in partnership with human resources and their leader.
