About The Position

Fab 4 CMP Operations supports the safe, efficient, and high-quality movement of wafers through the CMP process area. The Shift Manufacturing Engineer drives daily fab performance within the assigned area, partnering with Manufacturing Technicians, Shift Lead Engineers, Process Engineers, and Operations teams to achieve wafer movement targets, optimize cycle time, respond to quality concerns, and maintain efficient manufacturing workflows. Working a 12-hour compressed workweek schedule, the engineer provides real-time operational leadership by identifying manufacturing constraints, supervising material flow, supporting production decisions, and driving actions to meet weekly wafer movement and wafer-on-hand objectives. The role is the primary manufacturing operations owner for CMP during the assigned shift, balancing factory priorities, production risk, cycle time, quality, and move performance. It coordinates execution across multiple organizations without direct authority and identifies risks and constraints before they affect production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with production planning, factory flow management, or industrial engineering concepts.
