About The Position

This role provides operational support to the Slot Manager and oversees the daily operations of the Slots department. The Shift Manager is responsible for managing staff, ensuring departmental policies and procedures are followed, and maintaining the integrity of gaming operations. This includes tasks such as creating work schedules, interviewing and hiring staff, administering discipline, monitoring staffing levels, mediating problems, and developing training programs. The position also requires coordination with Security and Surveillance to prevent cheating and damage to gaming equipment, and implementing changes related to Title 31 guidelines.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and standard gaming operations procedures is required.
  • Understand and adhere to all pertinent laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the Slot Manager as necessary.
  • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities and work schedules to department staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member information.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Slots department, including creating work schedules, interviewing, hiring, developing and administering discipline, and monitoring staffing levels.
  • Mediate and solve problems and develop training programs.
  • Enforce all Company and department policies and procedures.
  • Observe and analyze the integrity of play and activity of guests and team members.
  • Coordinate with Security and Surveillance to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment.
  • Improve productivity through improvements in processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Implement changes related to Title 31 guidelines as needed.
