About The Position
Slim Chickens is a leading national brand in the fast-growing emerging 'better chicken' fast-casual segment. This is a great opportunity for starting and growing a career in the restaurant field. We are currently hiring Shift Leaders to join our amazing restaurant team in our soon to open Waukee location! Interviews and training will take place at our location in Grimes, so having adequate transportation is required and gas stipend is offered. If you are hired before January 25th, training will be at our Grimes location at 2170 E 1st street, Grimes, IA, 50111. We are looking for someone who is hungry to make things better, who is humbly confident, and who is smart with people. This full-time position works 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, and may earn $16.50 - $18.50 per hour.
Requirements
- 6 months or more fast casual restaurant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Leadership experience
- Excellent customer service
- Punctual and reliable
- Exceptional communication and coaching skills

Responsibilities
- Maintain a culture of respect and professionalism
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Run shifts with operational excellence
- Serve guests quality food according to brand standards
- Keep the restaurant clean and organized
- Manage labor and food cost within provided budget guidelines
- Coach and develop team members on your shifts
- Train new hires on job stations
- Teach your team how to take great care of our guests
- Complete daily labor and payroll paperwork
- Complete daily operational paperwork and processes
