About The Position

Nation's Giant Hamburgers is hiring Shift Leaders for its new Berkeley location. The Shift Leader is an essential member of the restaurant team, cross-trained in all restaurant areas and responsible for leading a shift by example while motivating and guiding team members. The role includes providing customer service, preparing food, organizing food prep, maintaining cleanliness, addressing customer concerns, ensuring safety standards, tracking time and breaks, training new team members, handling orders and paperwork, and covering the manager’s day off when needed. This posting provides a general overview and is not an exhaustive list of duties. Team members may contribute flexibly to customer needs, product quality, and a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

Lead shifts to provide excellent service and top-quality food.
Motivate and guide the team during the shift.
Work as a cashier, providing welcoming and positive customer service.
Cook and prepare fresh, high-quality food in a timely manner.
Organize and prepare fresh produce to maintain product quality.
Perform light janitorial work and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
Handle customer concerns.
Ensure crew members follow safety standards.
Manage employee breaks and timekeeping.
Train and support new team members.
Handle restaurant orders and assist with paperwork.
Cover the manager’s day off when needed.
Contribute as needed to meeting customer needs, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
