About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for managing and leading a team in Trim/Final Process, developing operational plans or new processes, in support of the organization’s business strategies with a direct impact on the organization's overall business results.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience in a plant environment
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time, with ability to meet project timelines
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
  • Knowledge of work measurement and work standards
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
  • Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
  • Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
  • Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
  • Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with production manufacturing office and floor assignments
  • Multi plant and/or multi-functional experience
  • Experience/knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)

Responsibilities

  • Coach, train, develop and evaluate employees.
  • Provide assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems.
  • Assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations.
  • Administer divisional and Corporate policies.
  • Meet cost, schedule and quality requirements.
  • Maintain Corporate and unit management control systems, budget and other information necessary to monitor performance.
  • Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards.
  • Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.
  • Assist in the forecasting of areas of responsibility.
  • Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of the job or project.
  • Assist in the overall direction and coordination of manufacturing activities.
