About The Position

Brenz Pizza Co is looking for a Full Time Shift Lead who can lead a highly skilled team. This position has room for future advancement as General Manager. Brenz is a rapidly expanding company and being a Shift Lead could be just the start of your career with us. To maintain this standard, we need a Shift Lead who pays attention to details, can motivate their kitchen staff, and is willing to do whatever it takes to produce amazing food.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry, health standards, and food safety regulations
  • Experience in restaurant kitchens
  • Willingness to learn/do all the jobs in the Brenz kitchen
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others (both verbally and written)
  • Ability to organize and make weekly schedules with the help of the general manager
  • At least 18 years old
  • Ability to physically stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift heavy loads regularly
  • A high school diploma
  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Basic knowledge of P & L statements
  • Basic math and accounting skills
  • Strong guest service, communication, leadership and conflict resolutions skills
  • Full availability for any shift, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week
  • Good personal grooming
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Ability to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists
  • Ability to lift 35-50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Order food from approved vendors
  • Maintain an accurate inventory
  • Communicate clearly with staff, drivers, front of the house, and the General Manager
  • Lead by example
  • Manage kitchen staff
  • Uphold Brenz high standards of quality and cleanliness
  • Take part in the day-to-day tasks in the restaurant kitchen (cleaning, prep, boxing products, etc.)
