The Shift Lead Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by providing lead direction to Security Officers at assigned client sites on assigned shifts. Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The Shift Lead Security Officer maintains the security and safety of the client site by supporting and providing their Security Officers clear guidance and leadership. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of security experience in a high‑risk or regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience in access control, incident management, and customer service within an airport or similarly regulated environment
  • Experience working with access control platforms
  • Experience operating or monitoring surveillance and screening systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and effectively resolve conflicts
  • Physical ability to respond to emergencies and complete required patrol tours
  • Must be able to pass a 7‑year background check
  • Must be able to pass the background check required for an Ohio Guard Card License
  • Must be able to pass a lab‑based drug test
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification

Nice To Haves

  • Prior law enforcement, military, or government experience (e.g., DHS, CBP) preferred
  • Associate’s degree or higher in a criminal justice–related field
