About The Position

The Shift Engineer / Engineer II is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and performing preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the hotel property. This role supports the Engineering team by ensuring building systems, equipment, and facilities are maintained to brand standards while delivering exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as assigned
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves and other emergency equipment when necessary
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and all OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, pass-on reports, and unfinished work documentation during shift changes
  • Communicate effectively with guests, leadership, and team members regarding maintenance issues and operational needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting overall property operations and guest satisfaction
