About The Position

Responsible for oversight of shifts including: site operations, staffing, staff development, consultation, supervision, documentation requirements, site beautification. Participate in implementation of individual action plans for person’s served. Work as a member of a team to provide opportunities for individuals while displaying hope and optimism.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field or four years of experience in related field
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements and skills to maintain those standards
  • Ability to supervise, evaluate and motivate staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to pass a CORI (Criminal Background) check and DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) check
  • Driver's License and use of personally insured vehicle
  • Ability to make independent decisions based on defined recovery goals
  • Leadership skills required to supervisor and delegate responsibilities to other employees, students and volunteers and oversee assignments
  • Proficient computer skills in using web-based e-mail and ability to data enter information into spreadsheets and word processing documents
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to employ time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to direct care staff at both sites.
  • Manage call-outs and consult with Program Director, Nurse Manager, Program Coordinator and/or Acute Care Administrator on Call.
  • Monitor and insure completion of all medication and communication forms for next day appointments.
  • Monitor and update all individual records as required.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance of clinical records, including all MSDP and DMH standards.
  • Maintain work environment, manage and report hazards to supervisor and/or Facilities Manager.
  • Report any facilities related issues to Facilities Manager.
  • Follow up to insure facilities issues are corrected.
  • Insure programming is active and within the scope of wellness and recovery principles.
  • Assist individuals with medication administration as needed.
  • Provide supervision to support MAP policy.
  • Provide direct supervision to staff as assigned.
  • Review and document individual’s progress towards goals.
  • Work in a Direct Care capacity as necessary to provide adequate staff or respond to a clinical need.
  • Participate in all relevant staff meetings, recovery team meetings, scheduled supervision and interagency meetings.
  • Serve on interagency committees.
  • Keep supervisor well informed and updated on all house activities daily.
  • Report any incidents regarding accidents, injury or medication errors to your supervisor and complete all corresponding documentation.
  • Oversee accuracy of records and maintain record keeping according to DMH and MSDP standards.
  • Communicate a sense of hopefulness and respect.
  • Flexibly respond to program scheduling needs.
  • Represent the agency in a professional manner in all community contacts and interagency committees.
  • Successfully complete and maintain MAP, CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Maintain all standards of confidentiality.
