About The Position

This is a seasonal, non-exempt internship position with the Sheriff's Office. The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the office's operations. The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, create professional documents, and assist in various law enforcement support functions. The work environment is primarily an office setting with occasional outdoor activities in varying weather conditions. Dodge County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable attendance
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force.
• Regularly requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.
• Standard vision requirements.
• Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
• Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
• Work requires observing general surroundings and activities.
• Work will include occasional outdoor activities in seasonal weather extremes.
• Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties
• Juniors going into Senior year

• Develop Public Relations Materials
• Support the Review of Traffic and Crime Data
• Support follow-up efforts
• Other tasks as directed by the Sheriff
