The ShelterCare Support Worker will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to support men experiencing homelessness to secure appropriate permanent housing. The ShelterCare Support Worker will support individuals in improving their health, wellness, and the life skills needed to be successful in the program ShelterCare program and to successfully transition to housing. A trauma informed person-centered and housing first approach is demonstrated in one on one and team based interactions. This is a permanent, casual, relief position. Shifts scheduled as needed and as available. Must be available to work three (3) day shifts minimum per month. Successful completion of a Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector) required pre-employment. For this position, please note that applicants must pick up a minimum of three day shifts (8:00am to 4:00pm) per month before being eligible to pick up evening or night relief shifts.
