About The Position

The MSPCA-Angell is offering a unique opportunity for a veterinarian to join our progressive veterinary team serving both community animals in need and shelter animals. As a Shelter and Community Clinic Veterinarian, you'll be providing medical care required to assure and maintain the health of the animals in the shelter as well as those treated through community clinic programs; working alongside leadership from other departments to maintain overall population health, capacity, and flow. Our clinic provides medical care to the animals at our Boston Adoption Center as well as low cost spay/neuter and acute outpatient veterinary care for owned pets. The position reports to the Director of Veterinary Medicine & Community Initiatives and offers exposure to a diversity of surgical and medical cases rarely seen in private practice, with an emphasis on high volume spay/neuter, urgent outpatient surgery, and infectious disease control. Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in veterinary medicine
  • Ability to obtain Massachusetts veterinary license
  • Controlled substance license
  • Federal DEA license
