About The Position

This is a 1st Shift position, Monday-Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm. The role involves utilizing and interpreting blueprints to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products. Responsibilities include measuring, marking, and laying out materials, and using hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces. The technician will also fasten details on aircraft and industrial engine components using rivets, fasteners, and bolts. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of sheet metal, shop assembly experience
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving ability with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues
• Good attitude and a willingness to learn a new trade or skill

Responsibilities

• Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how to where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out materials to be installed using tools such as scribes, micrometers, Vernier, calipers, etc.
• Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and seamless appearance.
• Fasten details on aircraft and industrial engine components using rivets, fasteners, bolts, etc.
• Cross train to support all areas of Sheet Metal Assembly
