About The Position

United Mechanical is seeking Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics to join its team as the company continues to grow. The company provides commercial and institutional HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services throughout Southwest Florida, serving hospitals and healthcare facilities, schools and universities, hospitality businesses, and other commercial facilities. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal ductwork installation.
Strong verbal and math skills.
Honest and dependable personality.
Self-motivated, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as effectively within a team.
Knowledge of trade hazards and safety precautions.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Obtain an OSHA 10 certificate.

Responsibilities

Perform layout for ductwork routes, including hanger layout.
Perform required ductwork offsets.
Read, understand, and follow prints and mechanical details.
Understand and assist with the ductwork testing process.
Apply general knowledge of SMACNA requirements.
Create and maintain collaborative working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.
