This role will work in the Sheet Metal department at the Jefferson Street plant.

Requirements

  • Ability to make setups on assigned machines according to blueprints.
  • Must be conscious of quality at all times—always checking shear size BEFORE starting a run, checking the first run piece and every 10 pieces with proper print for proper part.
  • Must do preventative measurement/bend checks before starting run.
  • Must be willing and able to train others to perform the job.
  • Must possess a good attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Must have the ability to communicate well with other departments and supervision.
  • Must possess basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator and basic measuring tools.
  • Flexible schedule and mindful of work load required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must understand & be able to follow ALL safe operating procedures & requirements.
  • Ability to use small hand tools in a safe manner.
  • Ability to read measurement devices accurately.
  • Must take ownership and be champion of the primary machine.
  • Must be reliable, cooperative, self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  • Ability to lift 50-75lbs., plus on a continual basis.
  • Ability to push and pull carts.
  • Ability to use repetitive motions.
  • Ability to reach overhead and/or above shoulder height frequently.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be on time and at work on a daily basis.
  • Ability to read blueprints and cut lists.

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient on all equipment in the sheet metal department.
