About The Position

This role involves operating sheet metal machinery, including cutting, breaking, and sorting parts. The operator will participate in team problem-solving activities focused on quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements. The position requires meeting or exceeding annual targets for safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity. The operator must be willing to learn, adhere to company policies, maintain a safe work environment, and possess excellent work attendance and a positive attitude. Continuous improvement in quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity is expected. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts
Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
Must have a valid driver’s license
Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings
Familiar with common hand and power tools
Willingness to learn
Maintain excellent work attendance
Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude

Responsibilities

Perform basic sheet metal machine operations, including cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts.
Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities related to quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements.

Attend training courses as directed by management.
