About The Position

The Coil Line Sheet Metal Operator is responsible for proficiently operating the coil line machine and making all machine setups according to blueprint specifications. This role requires maintaining quality standards by checking size before starting a run and again after every 10 pieces produced.

Requirements

• Possess a good attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Possess basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator and basic measuring tools.
• Ability to understand & be able to follow ALL safe operating procedures & requirements.
• Ability to use small hand tools in a safe manner.
• Ability to read measurement devices accurately.
• Ability to take ownership and be champion of the primary machine.
• Ability to be reliable, cooperative, self-motivated, and self-disciplined.
• Ability to be on time and at work daily.

Nice To Haves

• Previous knowledge of sheet metal equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient with all equipment in the sheet metal department.
• Make setups on assigned machines according to blueprints.
• Always be conscious of quality, always checking the shear size BEFORE starting a run, checking the first run piece and every 10 pieces with proper print for proper part.
• Do preventative measurement/bend checks before starting run.
• Train others to perform your job.
• Communicate well with other departments and supervision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
