About The Position

The Sheetmetal and Insulation Tradesman II is a developmental role designed for individuals seeking to gain practical experience and technical skills in HVAC. As a Tradesman, you will work under the supervision of experienced field professionals to learn the technical aspects of the job, including equipment operation, tool and material identification, and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience/education in HVAC, Construction or other technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety of their crew.
  • Read submittals, communicate with project managers, GC, follow schedules.
  • Know the scope of work.
  • Perform layout.
  • Use manpower properly.
  • Keep material in front of crews.
  • Track hours.
  • Navigate a laptop.
  • Release buy-out products.
  • Walk job daily.
  • Attend meetings.
  • Production and Quality Control.
  • Provide any training needed.
  • Hand take-offs for Fabrication Shop.
  • Hole penetration in walls, floor, and roof.
  • Flow chart.
  • Daily reports.
  • Four-week look ahead.
  • Comply with federal and state law, regulations, and all Company rules.
  • Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Any other job-related activities requested by immediate supervisor.
