Requirements

  • Extensive experience with sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, forming, and assembly
  • Proficiency in operating CNC equipment such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and tooling machinery
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques suitable for sheet metal applications
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling setup
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
  • Experience with crane operation for material handling in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components
  • Operate and set up CNC laser cutting machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to shape and form sheet metal parts
  • Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to inspect parts for accuracy and quality during fabrication
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques to join sheet metal components securely
  • Utilize forklifts and cranes safely to move raw materials and finished products within the workspace
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
  • Assemble fabricated parts into final products or subassemblies with attention to detail and precision
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
