About The Position

We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Installers to join our Mechanical team. This position is part of our talent pipeline, and we are seeking individuals interested in future opportunities to join the RQ team. We will reach out to qualified applicants once the opportunity and position become open and available. Projects are located in Jacksonville, Florida, Kings Bay, Georgia, and the surrounding areas. All work is performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base. Sheet Metal Installers are responsible for fabricating and installing ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites. All work must comply with applicable codes and standards. This role requires the technical application of mechanical principles and the use of proper tools and equipment, while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial or facilities operations environment.
Ability to provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization.
Must successfully pass a drug screening.
Must successfully pass a commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

Government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred.
