About The Position

Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects, spanning coast to coast, including North Carolina. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market. We are looking for skilled Sheet Metal Installers in Pensacola, Florida and the surrounding areas. This position is part of our talent pipeline, and we are seeking individuals interested in future opportunities to join the RQ team. We will reach out to qualified applicants once the opportunity and position become open and available. Our Sheet Metal Installers will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Per diem may be eligible for qualified candidates not local to the Pensacola region.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position.
  • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting is required.
  • Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

  • Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Experience working in high-bay environments and with turning vanes preferred.
  • Strong rigging and material handling experience preferred.
  • Hoisting certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities
