About The Position

Since 1996, RQ , LLC has been a key contributor in the commercial and government Design-Build sector. We maintain a strong national presence with active projects across the country. Our field operations teams support project execution on-site throughout the United States. RQ focuses on fast-track commercial construction for both public and private clients, with an emphasis on Department of Defense work. We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Installers to join our Mechanical team. This position is part of our talent pipeline, and we are seeking individuals interested in future opportunities to join the RQ team. We will reach out to qualified applicants once the opportunity and position become open and available. Projects are located in Jacksonville, Florida, Kings Bay, Georgia, and the surrounding areas. All work is performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base. Sheet Metal Installers are responsible for fabricating and installing ductwork, air distribution systems, and HVAC equipment on active construction sites. All work must comply with applicable codes and standards. This role requires the technical application of mechanical principles and the use of proper tools and equipment, while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial or facilities operations environment.
  • Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Successfully pass a commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

  • Government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred.
