Sheet Metal Fabricator - Press Brake Operator (2nd Shift)
About The Position
Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator for their 2nd shift operations. This role involves transforming raw technical drawings into precise, high-quality metal parts for custom switchgear and control systems used in mission-critical industries such as data centers, telecom, banking, and pharmaceuticals. The operator will be responsible for selecting tooling, setting up machinery, fabricating parts to meet tight tolerances, performing quality control checks, and maintaining equipment. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting up and running brake press equipment.
- Proficiency with Accurpress (or equivalent manual press brake) machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Understanding of metal forming principles.
- Detail-oriented with an understanding that precision is critical.
- Possess 'Humanity': respect others' ideas, communicate clearly, and be willing to help train others.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Treat company goals as personal goals.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Accurpress control systems.
- Forklift certification.
- Vocational training in metal fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Select the right tooling and set up Accurpress (or similar) machinery.
- Set machine settings for precise bends.
- Interpret complex blueprints and work orders to produce parts.
- Fabricate parts that meet tight tolerances.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and protractors to verify work quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and care for machinery to ensure smooth operation.
