Sheet Metal Apprentice
About The Position
USA Mechanical & Energy Service is seeking a Sheet Metal Apprentice for its growing construction team. The role involves learning to fabricate ductwork and basic materials, maintain and repair equipment, and operate manual and automated machinery. The apprentice will also learn to drive a forklift, with training provided, and help keep the shop and warehouse neat and clean. The position requires a high school diploma or GED; technical evening classes are required for candidates who have not graduated from technical school. The company provides uniforms and safety equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic knowledge of hand and electrical tools.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Ability to read tape measurements.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask, stay organized, and pay attention to detail.
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.
- Ability to work within a team and take on challenges.
- Technical evening classes are required if not graduated from technical school.
Nice To Haves
- Basic blueprint-reading skills are preferred but not required.
