About The Position

The Shareholder Records Intake and Transfer Technician is responsible for researching and processing data related to deceased stock transfers, corresponding with Village Corporations regarding missing data for these transfers, and responding to shareholder inquiries via writing, email, and telephone. This role also involves assisting with BSNC annual meetings. The position is located in Nome, AK. Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) was formed as a result of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1972 and is the regional Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) for the Bering Strait region, a culturally diverse area where three distinct Native languages are spoken.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in typing and general office practice
  • Computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (MS) MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Proficient writing skills
  • Highly organized and able to work with minimal guidance
  • Task oriented, self-motivated and have the inherent ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as a team-player
  • Excellent attention to details – the ability to be at work consistently and predictably
  • Drivers License required
