About The Position

The Treasury and Shareholder Relations Specialist position aids the Financial Accounting Manager in providing direction over the company’s cash management efforts (such as banking, cash budget/forecasting models, and financing of both receivables and payables). Reporting on all Credit Facility compliance requirements, as well as managing all internal shareholder relationships and shareholder debt servicing.

Requirements

  • 5 – 7 years of previous technical accounting experience preferred
  • 3+ years in public accounting preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree, in Accounting or Business, preferred
  • Current CPA, CFA, CTP designation(s) preferred
  • Reading, writing, and verbal skills sufficient to understand and communicate complex documents/information
  • Strong understanding of GAAP with ability to perform technical research
  • Solid understanding of intercompany eliminations and consolidations
  • Excellent PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and the ability to effectively utilize agency management systems
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence others
  • Highly organized and analytical, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully meet required deadlines
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment
  • Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required, including commitment to facilitate month-end processes

Responsibilities

  • Manage banking relationships, bank account needs, and all related banking documentation
  • Manage bank account administration, including opening and closing bank accounts, maintaining bank signer records
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives, as well as collaborating on ad hoc treasury projects, partnering with accounting departments, legal and IT
  • Manage global cash management operations, including daily positions in multiple entities and accounts, with a keen, inquisitive eye for improvement opportunities
  • Provide guidance to General Ledger, Disbursement and Receipts teams to ensure accounting transactions are properly and timely recorded
  • Prepare, analyze, refine, and optimize accurate cash forecasts while also seeking opportunities to drive optimal cash outcomes
  • Manage debt portfolio to ensure compliance with all key covenants and obligations
  • Steward and facilitate all Letters of Credit, including maintaining sufficient capacity to meet future business needs
  • Provide future projections of debt portfolio for long-term acquisition and organic growth
  • Assist in the selection of new/replacement accounting and ancillary treasury systems to support a fast-growing business environment
  • Maintain current process documentation and ensure appropriate internal cash controls are in place and being followed for existing and acquired banking shareholder Relation Functions
  • Maintain Capital Table monthly
  • Reconcile all member equity general ledger accounts
  • Calculate quarterly and annual true-up of distributions for each member
  • Manage all debt servicing for minority partners (internal and external), including interest and principal calculations
  • Manage all required documentation, standard operating procedures, and communication with members related to the shareholder lifecycle
  • New ownership (via Acquisition, or Qualification) issuances as well as Puts/Calls and final Repurchases of units by the company
  • Manage all funding for each component of the shareholder lifecycle
  • Communicate regularly with all shareholders to advise them on processes and required documentation. This includes quarterly Partner Calls that invite all members to receive current/relevant information.
  • Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development
  • Communication of tax reporting (K-1 components), profits, interest, cost, and amortization where applicable related to tax impact of ownership
