About The Position

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating sewing machines to assemble products for Butterworth Industries. This role involves ensuring adherence to quality standards, managing production schedules, enforcing safety regulations, and motivating employees to achieve production goals. The supervisor will also maintain records, confer with other departments, and perform tasks of supervised workers as needed.

Requirements

Ability to read and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, government agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management and communicate effectively with all employees.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

Examines articles to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker time requirements for completion of job assignments.
Interprets company policy to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Recommends adjustments to work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Analyzes and solves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve worker goals.
Maintains time and productions records.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Performs activities of workers supervised.
