About The Position

This role involves operating sewing machines, performing set-ups and adjustments, and ensuring product quality. The operator must be knowledgeable about materials, maintain safety procedures, and be able to identify and report product imperfections. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to manage shifting priorities, and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.

Requirements

• Two (2) years work-related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must possess knowledge using hand tools.
• Demonstrate basic mathematical, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrate basic communication skills.
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrate the capacity to shift priorities.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with all employees and management staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-up and adjustments on machines, including winding bobbins and replacing needles.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of materials required for sewing operations.
• Set-up and adjust machines.
• Be alert for in-process product imperfections and report them to the supervisor or lead.
• Exercise safety procedures to prevent injury and equipment damage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
