About The Position

The Sewing Machine Operator produces assigned products to required specifications while meeting or exceeding quality and productivity standards. The role contributes to a safe, clean work environment and performs tasks required in the assigned department. The operator uses equipment safely, checks that equipment is operating correctly, and inspects products to ensure they meet specifications and company quality procedures. The position is non-exempt, full-time, and pays $17.50 per hour. Training is provided on the job for qualifying candidates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• One year of industrial sewing machine experience preferred.
• Must be able to sit for the duration of the day and walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Produce specified products to required specifications using proper methods.
• Operate equipment safely and use methods that ensure safe operation.
• Inspect work to confirm the machine is operating correctly and products meet specifications.
• Follow company quality standards and procedures.
• Contact the supervisor as needed.
• Strive for perfect attendance and keep attendance points within the limits allowed by the attendance policy.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with leaders and peers.
• Maintain a positive outlook and high level of enthusiasm.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
