About The Position
The Sewing Machine Operator operates various sewing machines to join and reinforce fabric, Velcro, webbing, and other materials used in manufacturing production assemblies. The employer will provide on-site training. The role calls for a detail-oriented, motivated technician with technical ability and a strong work ethic. The position is on-site and full-time. Successful candidates must complete a background check and drug screening.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to measure to a tolerance of +/- 1/16 inch.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Successful candidates must complete a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety and cleanliness, including completing end-of-shift housekeeping.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
- Develop the skills to operate all sewing machines, including single- and double-needle machines, overlock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder, and auto Velcro feeder.
- Operate sewing machines to join or reinforce materials used in production assemblies.
