About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Sewing Room Seamstress at Mathis Mattress Manufacturing. The role involves operating various automated sewing machines to assemble mattress components. The employee will work at a specific station on the assembly line, performing all portions of mattress manufacturing sewing. Requirements
- Ability to lift merchandise of 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of employment and safety procedures
- Knowledge of merchandise handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of merchandise
- Ability to operate various automated sewing machines
- Lifting and stacking quilted panels, borders, etc.
- Sewing borders, patterns, panels, etc. together using sewing machines and specialized equipment made for mattress production
- Work a specific station on the assembly line sewing all portions of mattress manufacturing
- Any other duties as requested by management.
