About The Position

The Sewing Operator uses a sewing machine to join, reinforce, and perform related sewing operations to manufacture fabric covers for upholstered furniture. The operator sews pre-cut fabric pieces according to quality specifications and Standard Operating Procedures, at a pace sufficient to meet production efficiency requirements. This onsite position is located in Booneville, Mississippi. The associate obtains sew-kit bundles weighing approximately 25–50 pounds from a designated delivery basket or area. Using a sewing machine, the operator follows established sewing standards, including ½-inch seams, keeping seams straight and aligned with the cover pattern, and ensuring there are no drop stitches and that tabs are sewn correctly. Corners must be sewn at 90-degree angles rather than rounded. Finished covers are placed back into the bundle for inspection and further processing. The role also requires safe work practices and compliance with company Personal Protective Equipment standards and policies.
