About The Position

WillowWood is seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our Alpha Department. This role is responsible for sewing and producing high-quality materials used in the manufacturing of prosthetic liners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and experienced in industrial or home sewing environments.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of sewing experience (industrial or home sewing experience accepted)
  • Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on sewing machines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects
  • Basic computer and data entry skills preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sew prosthetic liner materials using straight stitch and over-lock machines
  • Follow daily production assignments and written work instructions
  • Identify and select correct fabrics, thread types, colors, sizes, and thicknesses
  • Inspect finished products for quality and perform minor repairs as needed
  • Enter accurate production and tracking data into the sewing database
  • Perform basic daily maintenance on sewing equipment
  • Properly store work-in-process materials and assist with stamping duties as assigned
