About The Position

We are actively hiring for the position of Sewing Machine Operator for our plant in Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves producing finished graphics and operating a sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or finish various materials and fabricated articles. The operator will be responsible for examining and measuring finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, cutting materials according to specifications, and preparing materials for machine sewing. Key duties also include mounting machine attachments, adjusting guides, monitoring machine operation for issues like defective stitching or malfunctions, and troubleshooting problems as they arise. Industrial sewing experience
Mechanical and artistic aptitude

Responsibilities

Produce finished graphics
Activate the sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or finish materials/fabricated articles
Examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards
Cut materials, according to specifications, or cut excess material or thread from a finished product, using a blade, scissors, or electric knife
Fold or fit together materials, such as fabric or vinyl, to prepare for machine sewing
Mount attachments, such as needles, cutting blades, or pattern plates, and adjust machine guides according to specifications
Monitor machine operation to detect problems, such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions
Troubleshoot problems as they arise
Other fabrication duties as assigned
MUST be able to operate a computer with basic computer skills
MUST be able to lift to 50lbs
